Services institute of medical sciences, known as SIMS, possesses a location in the heart of educational hub of Lahore. Some renowned
educational institutes and hospitals surround it making this college even more prominent. Although, you won't be able to find a sign board, I can bet anything that if you have even a mild connection with medical, you will know it well. Attached with Services hospital, this institute was established in 2002. Dr. Faisal Masood, former principal of SIMS, and presently the VC of KEMU, groomed it and soon, it had secured 2nd rank among best medical colleges all over Punjab. It is still making its way through such competitive environment under the supervision of our respected principal Dr. Hamid Butt and vice principal Dr. Ferdouse Sultana. Its building, administration, faculty members, and above all students hold a unique level of coolness that you cannot find in any other medical institute in Punjab. Yes, a SIMSONIAN is automatically more cooler than other medical folks. If you dare to disagree, come and spend some days with us.Trust me! our abilities, talents and confidence will give you goosebumps.
Being mere a first year student, I feel SIMS is what I always wanted as my medical school. It has complete package of hectic study along with exuberant events and classroom adventures. Interactive students, friendly faculty members, helping seniors are those few perks you get to enjoy being a SIMSONIAN. There is bunch of things that I want to scribble in this introductory post but I don't feel rightful to make it so lengthy, so, long story short, this blog is all about SIMS. It is operated by students and will be working for students. We will try to put guideline regarding studies and every useful thing we happen to get our hands on. It will be having updates about all events happening in the SIMS and pieces of writings by students of all years. Of course, to make it possible, we need your contribution. This blog is purely for students so any blog post, picture, piece of writing, poetry, study relevant material, specially from our seniors side, will be highly appreciated. Share your experience of being in SIMS and show others, what they are missing in their life.
Come'on SIMSONIANS! Time to have some real fun.
